GOULDS tanks have a 5 year manufacturer warranty. Also are very well made and resist the affects of corrosion and low Ph (acidic) well water issues better then most other brands. Stainless steel inlet fittings also make them a very wise choice.   Not plastic like most home center tanks.

A proper SANITARY type well seal cap is very important in keeping bugs from entering your well and being trapped by the water. Keeping animal waste out, rain water, surface run-off and worms, rodents can only be done by a proper well head sanitary cap or vault type well seal.

Why was one not originally installed by the driller ?  They add to his cost and you did not know or ask him about it being an important part of keeping your well water SOURCE safe and free from out side intrusion.

Well heads that are in a vault or under ground are even more likely to become contaminated from run-off, dirt, bugs, rodents, chemicals, salt etc.
