We Have No Well Water, what Can we do at this time ?
Have you checked the circuit breaker or fuse(s) that supply power to the well pump system ? Do fuses or breaker trip or blow when you try ? Shut off the power and call a pro.
Have you checked to be certain that there are no broken pipes on the inside or the outside of your home ? Shut off the power to the well pump and call a pro.
Do you have any water filters or water purification devices that could be clogged ? Is there full pressure reading on the pressure gage ? Does the gage work ? Are you able to by pass the system or change the filter(s) to remedy the problem ?
Has your water been surging. The water pressure would go up - down - up - down ? Perhaps you would here the controls at the water pressure control switch at the well water tank click on - off - on off every few seconds. This could be a problem with the well water tank loosing its ability to maintain a proper air chamber pressure charge within the tank. Often you need to properly re-charge the empty tank and properly match a new pressure control switch to the tanks pressure ranges. This continuing problem could cause your well pump to fail and create an expensive repair. Most times replacing the tank with a new and bigger one in a proper manner is the over all best solution.
Do you have water at some places but not others. Other faucets work fine except for one or two or the clothes washer. Be certain that the spout screens to the faucets are not clogged. Be certain that the screens to the washer machine hoses are not clogged.
Does the area(s) around the well water holding pressure tank or the indoor type jet pump smell like an electrical fire ? If you touch the connecting pipes to the water system and your get a shock or a tingle. Shut the power off to the water pumping system and call a pro.
Has your water pressure been getting lower and lower over the past week or so and some times you have water and some times you do not have water ? You may have problems with a failing well water pump. Time to call a pro who knows about resolving these types of problems. Please be certain that person is qualified to do a proper and safe job for you.
Did you recently have a lightning storm in the area and within a few days or less your well water system has failed, or the water pressure has become very low? Call a Professional who can solve this problem correctly and also determine if the voltage surge has not affected any other electrical devices that may also effect the safety of your family.
